Your gift helps Mission Action provide critical legal support, community-based programs, emergency services, and leadership development for immigrant and low-income communities.

Leave a Legacy

Legacy giving is a powerful way to support Mission Action’s long-term vision for equity, dignity, and justice. By including Mission Action in your estate or financial plans, you ensure that future generations have access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.

Your legacy gift can transform lives for years to come. We look forward to helping you make a plan that fits your goals.

Ways to Leave a Legacy

  • Will & Trusts
Including Mission Action in your will or living trust is an easy way to make a lasting difference—without affecting your income during your lifetime. You can designate a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the balance after distributions have been made to other beneficiaries.

  • Beneficiary Designations
Name Mission Action as a beneficiary for assets outside of your will (non-probate assets), including your retirement plan, life insurance policy, or bank/brokerage account.

  • Gifts of Retirement Assets
Maximize your charitable impact by donating funds from an IRA, 401(k), or other retirement account to provide tax benefits while supporting our mission. If you’re at least 70.5 years old, you can make tax-free gifts to Mission Action up to $108,000 from your traditional or Roth IRA, and your donation will count towards your minimum required distribution (known as a Qualified Charitable Distributions or IRA Charitable Rollovers).

Gifts of Stock and Securities

A Smart Way to Give

Donating appreciated stock, bonds, or mutual funds is a simple and tax-efficient way to support Mission Action’s work while potentially realizing significant financial benefits.

By making a gift of securities that have increased in value, you may be able to avoid capital gains tax and claim a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the asset. Your investment in Mission Action helps us sustain vital programs for immigrant families, low-wage workers, youth, and communities facing systemic barriers.

Benefits of Giving Stock:

  • You may receive a charitable income tax deduction for the full fair market value of the securities.
  • You may avoid paying capital gains tax on the appreciation.
  • Your gift makes an immediate and lasting impact on our mission.
