Payment is cash only, paid directly to the worker. Tips are appreciated. Jobs canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice incur a $35 fee per worker. The hours and scope discussed with our dispatchers over the phone are an estimate – once the worker arrives and sees the actual conditions of the home, additional time or adjustments may be needed, and any changes to the original plan should be discussed and agreed on directly with the worker before starting. State labor law requires a paid 10-minute break every 4 hours worked and a 30-minute meal break for shifts over 5 hours (which may be waived by mutual consent for shifts under 6 hours). The following are additional services that may require extra time and must be agreed on directly with the worker: washing exterior windows, doing laundry, and washing dishes that have accumulated over several days. Additional time may also be needed in situations involving pets and cleaning of their areas, move-in or move-out cleanings, homes that have not been cleaned in an extended period of time, and delicate surfaces such as marble, fine wood, or stainless steel appliances that require special products or care.
