On May 1st—International Workers’ Day—thousands of workers, immigrants, and allies flooded the streets across the Bay Area and the nation in a powerful display of resistance. May Day, rooted in generations of labor struggle, continues to be a rallying cry for justice, dignity, and collective power.
This year, as working-class communities face escalating attacks—from rollbacks on immigrant protections to union-busting efforts and housing injustice—the message was clear: we will not be silenced. A broad coalition of labor unions, immigrant rights groups, students, and community organizations united to say NO to the billionaire agenda and YES to a future where all workers thrive.
From marches to rallies, speeches to songs, the spirit of solidarity was undeniable. We honored the legacy of past labor movements and renewed our commitment to organizing, defending our communities, and fighting for a just, equitable future.
Because when workers fight back—we win.
